Some 2 billion people don't have access to air conditioning. Their comfort and human development require access to cooling. New investments in cooling technology and services can improve human comfort and the resilience of cities to changing climate conditions. Addressing climate change requires cost-effective cooling innovation and investment to bend the arc of rising GHG emissions in developing economies.
